Marble Vanity Counter Tops
The general consensus is that marble makes a good surface for bathrooms, offices, fireplace surrounds and other locations where they don’t get heavy use. Marble is a softer stone than say granite and it easily scratches but in the bathroom you are not doing any heavy work so it should hold up form many years before needing to be re-polished. The main advantage and why some people choose marble is its variety of unique veins. Although many people automatically think of creamy or white stone when they think of marble, there are hundreds of varieties and no two pieces are ever exactly the same.

If you want some of the variety of Marble without the risk of it being easily scratched you might want to consider going with a man made option rather than natural. Quartz counter tops are more harder than granite and not so easily scratched. But heat can easily damage them. The other negative aspect of Quartz is the expense which can be more than $100 per square foot.
Granite Counter Tops
With granite you are limited on the uniqueness but you cannot disregard the natural beauty of any stone that has been polished. Granite is the stone of choice for counter tops by professionals because of its durability.

Furniture Distressing
Many of our clients come to us because they are tired of the modern clean looks that are so sterile you are afraid to cook you dinner in it. We offer a variety of furniture distressing techniques to make your bathroom furniture feel more like home, not a laboratory. One method is to distress the paint. Our process is a method layering on the finish in two are three colors then removing a layer or two exposing the colors beneath giving the furniture a worn lived in look. We top coat this with a clear coating to protect the finish from further wear.
Another method is our signature lines of furniture where we distress the wood before applying the finish.
